Sparrows are often referred to as LBJs (little brown jobs) because of the initial difficulty in sorting them out. Hughes Hollow is a good place to spend the morning learning and reviewing basic field marks that are key to identification. In addition to common species, like White-throated, Song and Swamp, we’ll keep an eye out for less-likely White-crowned and Field. This trip is primarily for beginners but all are welcome. Limit 8.
