Provide a copy of BIRDS OF MD/DC/DE to every school library
A beautifully illustrated book containing species accounts of every species found in Maryland, District of Columbia and Delaware. Plus guides to finding birds in the three area and observation tips. Bruce Beehler is a renowned, well-travelled ornithologist and nature writer and Middleton Evans is a highly skilled wildlife photographer. This book is targeted to those who enjoy getting outside to explore nature and birds in particular or the armchair birder watching the activity at the feeder.
Our goal is to distribute a copy of the book to the library in every (all, public?, middle? etc.) school in Maryland. It will be a resource for students and teachers. Funds contributed will be used to acquire the books from the publisher and cover mailing costs.
