The MD/DC Records Committee reviews reports of birds observed in Maryland that meet the following criteria:

1. Any species observed in Maryland that is not on the MD/DCRC Official List of the Birds of MD.
(The current Official List of the Birds of MD can be found on the MD/DCRC web site at https://mdbirds.org/md-bird-list/)

2. Species reviewable anywhere in Maryland, statewide.
