Description:
This walk will explore one of Baltimore City’s newest eBird hotspots, Chinquapin Run Park, an underbirded gem. The park is a 2-mile, 76-acre stream corridor which follows the length of Chinquapin Run, a tributary of Herring Run (and ultimately Back River), from Lake Avenue to its confluence with Herring Run on the Morgan State University campus. The park has undergone extensive stream restoration in recent years and provides a rich habitat for Spring migrants and early breeders. The terrain is flat and easily navigated. RSVP to leader required, limited to 15 participants.
