Field trips are a key activity for all our chapters. Birding with others is a great way to hone your identification skills, get the inside scoop on Maryland hot spots, and learn from the pros.

MOS chapters host weekend or weekday trips, some recurring monthly, or organize trips especially for beginners. Chapters may sponsor trips to other parts of Maryland to visit particularly birdy spots or at special times of the year (seabirds near Ocean City’s inlet during winter months, for example). Visit the MOS Calendar to plan your next trip!

(Note: occasionally field trips may be restricted to members, or may require reservations. Special instructions and restrictions are usually noted in the item summary in the calendar, as is contact information for field trip leaders. Visit the MOS Calendar  for more information.)

For your safety, please read this waiver agreement before attending an MOS field trip: Waiver Agreement regarding Field Trip Participation (including the required parent’s signature for their children).
