Will there be an MOS Convention in 2022*?

MOS is exploring venues for a convention in 2022 but no decisions have been made. We’re aiming for May 20-22, 2022. Please save that date.

Help us plan by taking this brief survey to let us know if you are interested in attending an in-person convention.

Please visit our convention website for the latest information and updates.

*MOS cancelled its 2020 event in Cumberland, Maryland, and held a virtual convention in 2021 due to the corona virus pandemic.

If you’d like to help with planning an event please contact our convention chairperson. Thank you!

Every year MOS hosts an annual convention for MOS members and the general public. Convention locations vary from year to year to sample Maryland’s great diversity of species and habitats. Usually these are held in the spring or early summer when birds are migrating or nest building but are occasionally held in August to catch the shorebird early migration southward or in February in Ocean City to see the wintering waterfowl. Recent conventions have been at: Washington College, Ocean City, WISP Resort, and Salisbury University. Please return to this page to see advanced notice of convention, pin contest announcement, followed by details and online registration.
